The Commonwealth Lawyers Association in conjunction with LexisNexis is pleased to announce
The 4th Commonwealth Law Conference Rule of Law Award 2019
The Commonwealth Lawyers Association (CLA) is an international organisation which exists to promote and maintain the rule of law throughout the Commonwealth by ensuring that an independent and efficient legal profession, with the highest standards of ethics and integrity, serves the people of the Commonwealth.
CLA’s biennial Commonwealth Law Conference has established itself over many years as a place for members from the judiciary; academia; and all areas of the profession to meet and share common ideas and problems, educate, and network with international delegates. CLC2019 will be held in the beautiful location of Livingstone, Zambia 8 -12 April 2019.
We are delighted to be able to offer this prestigious award supported by our sponsor LexisNexis which recognises the outstanding contribution of an individual or firm to furthering the rule of law in the two years running up to the 2019 conference. The winner will be awarded a unique engraved trophy recognising their achievement and offered either paid travel and admission to the 21st Commonwealth Law Conference in Zambia or the opportunity to donate their prize in cash to a charity which they believe furthers the rule of law*
At the closing ceremony of the conference the 2019 winner will be presented with the award on stage by the CLA President and representatives of LexisNexis and will be recognised on the CLA website. Past winners of this prestigious award include Ms Robin Sully (Canada) and Mr Upul Jayasuriya (Sri Lanka). We hope you will be able to join us at CLC2019 in Livingstone to congratulate the winner. It is a really memorable event!
